WALESKA, Ga. (Nov. 1, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University men's soccer team earned the No. 6 seed in the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament after completing the regular season with an AAC record of 5-3-3 and overall record of 6-7-4.
The No. 6 Bears are set to compete at No. 3 seeded Reinhardt University (10-5-1, 8-2-1 AAC) for the quarterfinal round. During the regular season, the Bears fell to the Eagles 3-1. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. To see more info on the AAC tournament see here.
"We are excited about the opportunity to play this weekend," Head Coach Rob Miller said. "Both teams started slow but have picked up a momentum as the season went along. Historically the games between us and Reinhardt have been close and very competitive, and we expect the same will happen this weekend."
Most notable, TMU's best AAC postseason performance was in 2017 when they won the tournament at the TMU Soccer Complex for the first time in program history, which was also the first NAIA conference title clinched by any TMU team ever.
