COLUMBIA, S.C. (Oct. 19, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team recorded their 14th win, which is the most any TMU volleyball team has recorded, with an Appalachian Athletic Conference sweep at Allen University on Saturday afternoon (25-20, 29-27, 25-13). The Lady Bears are now 14-15, 10-8 AAC on the year. In fact, TMU's 10 AAC wins is also the most in program history.

The Lady Bears got out front with a 6-0 scoring run after trailing most of the way (17-15). Allen tied it up at 19 apeice, but two Harris Anne Walker kills and an Audrey Henderson kill ultimately sealed the first win (25-20). Game two saw TMU record a stellar comeback. After falling behind 1-11 and 14-24, an impressive 10-0 scoring run tied it up 24-24. However, it was TMU who came out on top in extra points on a Henderson kill (29-27).
The Lady Bears fastened the sweep in dominating fashion outshining the Yellow Jackets 12-3 in the kills column throughout the third set. Another Walker kill earned point 25 for TMU (25-13).
LEADERS
Walker led the offense with 15 kills while sophomore Bethany Ross followed with 12 kills. Senior Madison Curtis added eight kills and Ranavia Neal had seven. Abby Maxwell was credited 38 assists and added two kills.
