WEST POINT, Ga. (Dec. 5, 2018) – The Truett McConnell University men's basketball team traveled for another Appalachian Athletic Conference road game at Point University on Wednesday night. The Bears (5-4, 2-4 AAC) handed the Skyhawks (1-11, 1-6 AAC) their first win of the season (77-54).
FIRST HALF WIN | SECOND HALF LOSS
The Bears started out the game strong leading by as many as 15 points with seven minutes left to go in the first half. TMU led by four at the half (37-33) but it was the second half where the plot twisted. The Skyhawks went on to hold the Bears to just 17 points in the final 20 minutes of play to ultimately outscore the Bears by 27 points.
LEADERS
Senior Christian Davis led the way with 11 points and three assists. Fellow senior Jacob Booke added eight and Filipe Goncalves added seven. Freshman Enocka Franky led with five rebounds.
UP NEXT
The Bears are on the road again on Saturday, Dec. 8, for their last AAC game of the semester. TMU will play four more times on the road before returning home to the Benjamin F. Brady Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 2, to face Tennessee Wesleyan.
