Box Score SUMTER, S.C. (Nov. 3, 2018) – The Truett McConnell University men's basketball team tied for the second most 3-pointers in a game in school history with 14 in a nonconference win on the road at Morris College (88-70).

All five starters scored in double figures led by senior
Christian Davis with 21 points going 7-for-11 behind the arc. Fellow senior
Filipe Goncalves scored 15 including 7-for-7 from the free throw line while
Jacob Booke added 14.
Myles Monroe put up 13 points, earned nine rebounds and was credited five assists.
Calvin White added 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Bears led by four at the half (38-34) but Morris edged out a 39-38 lead early in the second half. Nonetheless, TMU responded with a 12-2 run and never looked back. It was keyed by back-to-back 3-point plays by White. TMU went up by 19 with just under seven minutes to go after a Goncalves 3-point play that capped a 16-2 run.

Up next, the Bears begin Appalachian Athletic Conference play at Union College on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m., before returning home to host Columbia International University on Saturday, Nov. 10.
