Baseball Falls to NCAA Division II Emmanuel

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | The Truett McConnell baseball team fell to Emmanuel in a high-scoring affair, 17-9, Tuesday afternoon on the road.

Chris Carden had a stellar day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI. Austn Bishop also hit well at the plate with a 2-for-2 day and three runs scored and drawing three walks.

A six-run fifth and a five-run seventh put the game away for Emmanuel. The Bears kept pace with the Lions early on before the two big innings.

The Bears will travel to St. Andrews on Thursday and Friday for an AAC series. First pitch on Thursday is at 3 p.m.
