Volleyball falls to Allen in AAC season finale, 1-3

CLEVELAND, GA.|     Volleyball falls to Allen in AAC season finale, 1-3 

 The Truett McConnell volleyball team fell in the AAC season finale to Allen University, 3-1, Tuesday afternoon in the Bear Cave. The Bears will end their 2017 conference season at 2-16. 

The Lady Bears started the 1st set controlling a 5-1 lead until Allen went on a 12-2 run to control the remainder of the set for a win. TMU led only once in the second set while Allen cruised their way to an easy second victory. Truett never lost hope as they fought their way back in the 3rd set to seek their first set win 25-15. Ultimately, the lady bears fell short going into the 4th set against Allen 25-19.

Shayla Smith led the Bears with 14 kills while Harris Anne Walker assisted with 9 and Jordan Henshaw added 8. 

The Lady Bears will finish their regular season Wednesday night at 6:30 home in the Bear Cave.
