CLEVELAND | The Truett McConnell men's basketball team put 13 players in the scoring column as they coasted to a 92-64 win over Fisk University Tuesday night in the Bear Cave. The Bears get back to .500 for the first time since game six of the season.
The game was never really in doubt as the Bears jumped out to a 22-11 lead nine minutes in to the first half. That was the closest the game would be the rest of the night.
Stephen Stuart got the fans on their feet in the first half with back-to-back three pointers at the 2:04 mark to take a 23-point lead at 50-27.
The Bears didn't cool off much in the second half as they shot 41 percent from the field in the second half after shooting 56 percent in the first half.
David Campbell Jr., led the way with 17 points, while
Jacob Booke and
Mario Westbrooks added 12 each.
Tylor Brown put 10 points on the board in the win.
The Bears will jump back into conference play with a matchup against Bryan College on Saturday. Tip time is set for 4 p.m.
