Volleyball to Open Season Against Brewton Parker
CLEVELAND | The Truett McConnell volleyball team is ready to kick off the 2016 season with the first regular season home event Friday night in the Bear Cave as Brewton-Parker comes to Cleveland.
Head coach
LaKisya Killingsworth has been working with the young team that features all freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The high-paced offense that the Bears will employ is sure to be exciting for fans who come out to watch.
Friday night's game will also serve as Middle School Night. White County Middle School's volleyball team will be recognized in between sets two and three of the contest.
Brewton-Parker has its own new head coach in Jonathan Rose as he takes over the Barons' program. Last season, the Barons went 2-23 with wins over Paine College and Wesleyan.
Tickets will sell for $3 at the gate with TMU faculty, staff and students getting free admission with a valid TMU ID. Children ages three and under will also be admitted to the Bear Cave free of charge.
The game will also be broadcast through the new BearsTV video portal. Links can be found on the Volleyball schedule page of TMBears.com. Fans can also follow along with the action on Twitter by following @TMUBears.
