Women's Soccer Set to Kick Off 2016 Against No. 14 Campbellsville
CLEVELAND | The Truett McConnell women's soccer team will kick off its 2016 season Tuesday afternoon as the Bears take on the No. 14 Lady Tigers of Campbellsville University.
The Bears are coming off of a 2015 campaign that saw them take on Reinhardt in the AAC Championship game and finish with a 12-9-1 record. The squad also returns over half of its goal scorers from a year ago.
The Lady Tigers look to continue their success from a year ago. After going 19-3 in 2015, Campbellsville is ranked No. 14 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches Poll. Last season, the Lady Tigers ranked second in the nation in total shutouts (15), seventh in total goals (75) and 10th in goals per game (3.41)
The game will be broadcast live through Campbellsville's digital video portal powered by SIDEARM Sports. Links for live video and stats can be found on the schedule page at TMBears.com.
