In the first game, The Lady Buffs drew first blood by scoring both of their runs in their first at-bat. The Lady Bears drew even in the bottom of the third inning when Brianna Crawford doubled with one out and Milly Martinet followed with a two-run homerun. The game remained tied at 2-2 until the Bears walked off in the bottom of the eighth inning on a Reba Jones run scoring double that scored Crawford.

Harlee Grogan (8 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 9 K) settled down after a shaky first inning to only allow two hits the remainder of the game and pitch a complete game to earn the extra innings win.

In the second game, Truett again walked-off with a win by scoring in their last at-bat. Great pitching held both teams in check throughout the entire game. However, in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Lady Bears were able to finally break through. In that inning, Reba Jones was hit by a pitch and advanced into scoring position on a two-out single by Jennifer Bagby before Olivia Darley hit a RBI single to leftfield to walk the Bears off with the win.

Taylor Nix (7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K) pitched extremely well in the circle to pick up the win in a complete game effort. This win was even sweeter for Nix as she learned after the game that she had been named the AAC Pitcher of the Week.

The Lady Bears are noq 19-17 overall on the season and 5-5 in conference play. They will look to add to their current five game winning streak when they go on the road to face Point University for a doubleheader beginning at 4 PM on Tuesday, April 5th.
