The Bears never trailed in the contest as they scored the first three runs of the game. The scoring began in the second inning when the Bears pushed across a single run on a McClane Ramey RBI, after loading the bases. Truett tacked on two more runs in the fourth inning with an RBI double from Sean Cheshire that scored Walker Caves, who led off the inning with a double. Cheshire came around to score on an error by the second basemen to make the score, 3-0.

The Eagles got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth inning to get within two runs by taking advantage of three Bears' walks that loaded the bases. The closest the Eagles got was 2 runs, as Truett tacked on two more runs in their next at-bat. Caleb Buchanan had an RBI single to score the first run and Andrew Fogarty doubled home the second run of the inning, making the score 5-1.  Toccoa Falls scored their final run in the seventh inning and Truett capped their scoring in the ninth inning by taking advantage on an Eagles' error to make the final score 6-2.

Hayden Carrey (3 IP, 2 H 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K) started well on the mound for the Bears by not allowing a run through the first three innings, to pick up the win. Caleb Jameson (2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K) also pitched two shutout innings to earn the two inning save. Caleb Buchanan (2-6, RBI), Chris Stevens (2-5, 2B), Walker Caves (2-3, 2B, R, BB), Austin Bishop (2-4, BB), and Sean Cheshire (2-4, 2B, 2 R, 2 RBI, BB) each had two hits to lead the offensive attack in the win.

With this win, the Bears are now 20-10 overall on the season. The Bears will be on the road this Friday to open a three-game conference series with the Point University Skyhawks starting at 6 PM.
