Lady Bears Fall to Point

Box Score The Lady Bears played at home on Saturday against AAC rival Point University. The Lady Bears ended the day with a 1-22 loss.

The Lady Bears caused 12 turnovers and picked up 20 groundballs on the day, while the Skyhawk's only had 5 caused turnovers. The Lady Bears also beat Point in draw controls by controlling 61% of the game.

 
Rachel Brown and Aoife O'Gorman lead the team in groundballs with four each while Kaitlynn Kubin led the team offensively with five shots on goal. Lyndsey Thorne lead the team in caused turnovers (2) and Rachel Brown lead the team in draw controls (5).
 
"Even though we lost the game, the girls did a really good job and won in some statistical areas," said Head Coach Rachel Evans. "The girls did a great job defensively and forced Point's offense to slow down. I am looking forward to our next two road games."

The Lady Bears are now 0-2 overall on the sesaon and are back in action this Monday, February 22nd, against the Eagles from Asbury University in Wilmore, KY. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM.
