WALESKA, Ga. | The Truett McConnell men's soccer team gave up an early goal in both halves to No. 20 Reinhardt University in a 2-1 loss to the Eagles Wednesday night in Waleska. The Bears are now 5-6 overall and 2-4 in AAC play.

The Eagles scored in the ninth minute of play when Dodge Palmisano scored off a Carlos Delarosa corner kick to put the Eagles up, 1-0. RU would score early in the second half as well when Jose Rubio chipped the ball into the net to double the Eagle lead.

Tyrik Francis scored the lone goal of the night for the Bears as he scored in the 63rd minute. The game got very chippy after the Francis goal as eight yellow cards were issued after the Reinhardt lead was cut to 2-1.

The Bears had three more shots on goal than the Eagles but were outshot overall, 16-15.

TMU will look to rebound on Saturday, October 8, as they welcome Columbia International to the TMU Soccer Complex for a 4 p.m. kickoff in Cleveland.
