DAYTON, Tenn. | The Truett McConnell volleyball team fell to 10-10 overall and 4-9 in AAC play with a 3-0 loss to Bryan College Tuesday night.
The Bears and Lions traded points early in the first set until TMU went on a 10-3 run to take an 18-11 lead. After the Bears took their lead up to 23-19, Bryan scored eight of the final 10 points in the set en route to a 27-25 first set win.
TMU didn't get many big leads after that set, leading by at most three points the rest of the way. Both teams traded points early in both the second and third sets, but big Lion runs gave Bryan all they needed to pull out the win.
Harris Anne Walker led the Bears with nine kills and a hitting percentage of .471.
Georgia Martin led all players with 19 digs. TMU was held to just one block as opposed to seven from the Lions.
The Bears will look to bounce back against Bob Jones on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Greenville, S.C.
