Lady Bears Come up Short at Home

The Lady Bears took to the court Thursday night in an AAC match-up against the Skyhawks from Point University. The Lady Bears had a strong start to the game, ending the first quarter with a 6 point lead over the Skyhawks. In the final minutes of the first half, the Lady Bears allowed the Skyhawks to pull ahead with a 2 point lead going into halftime.

 

The Lady Bears came out in the second half ready to fight for the win, but it didn't prove to be enough and they fell to the Skyhawks by a score of 56-43.

 

Rhande Haskett led the Bears offensively and defensively with 10 points and 9 rebounds on the night. Ashley Roby (9 points) and Monica Hammond (7 points) had contributions to the Bears' score on the night.

 

The Lady Bears drop to 6-9 overall on the season and 1-7 in conference play. The Lady Bears will look to improve on the road against the Eagles from Reinhardt University on Saturday, January 9th. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
