Bears Fall To Milligan On The Road

Box Score The Men's Basketball team took to the court this afternoon for a crucial away AAC match-up against the Buffaloes from Milligan College. The Bears got off to a good start and led the Buffaloes for a majority of the first half. With 3 seconds to go in the first half, the Bears tied the game up and went into halftime with a score of 37-37.

Both teams battled back and forth at the beginning of the second half until poor defensive playing allowed the Buffaloes to slip away with the win. The final score on the night saw the Bears on the wrong side of a 70-80 loss.

Xavier Holland led the Bears offensively with 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds on the night. Micah Woodard (11 points) and Andretti Loyd (10 points) also had contributions for the Bears.

With this loss, the Bears drop to 6-16 overall on the season and 2-9 in conference play. The Bears will be back in action at home this Wedneday, February 3rd, to take on the Cavaliers from Montreat College in an AAC match-up. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 pm.
