The Bears fell short by a run in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader losing 2-3, but rebounded with a 2-1 victory in the final game to take the conference series.
Luke Henderson and Chris Stevens combined to hold the Cavaliers to four runs in the series opener. Henderson took the no decision after 6.1 innings of work, allowing three earned runs with seven strikeouts. Stevens slammed the door shut with 2.2 shutout innings of relief to earn the win and improve his record to 4-2 on the season.
Offensively, the Bears banged out 15 hits with standout performances from Chris Carden (5-for-5, 1 HR, 1 RBI) and Walker Caves (3-for-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI). Fore, Caves, Cheshire, and Little each had two hits in the game to lead the offense. The Bears' starting pitcher, Chris Carden, allowed two earned runs through five innings. Cody Gable took the loss after three innings of relief, allowing one earned run before Chris Stevens recorded the final three outs in the top of the ninth.

TMC answered abruptly with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning to gain a 2-1 advantage that would hold for the remainder of the game behind Jared Oliver's dominant pitching. Oliver tossed a complete game two-hitter on his way to his third win of the season. The right-hander allowed one earned run over seven innings with eight strikeouts.
Peyton Fore finished 1-for-3 with a run scored, and batted in Austin Thomas with a double for the Bears' first run. Walker Caves followed with a double in the next at-bat to drive in Fore. Chris Carden finished 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.
