On Tuesday, October 27th, the Truett McConnell Bears Volleyball team returned to Cleveland, Georgia to play in front of the home crowd for the match of the season. The Lady Bears welcomed AAC rival Point University to campus for a pivotal late season conference match-up. The Lady Bears were able to power past the Skyhawks in four sets en route to breaking the school record for their most wins in a season.

After winning the first set 25-16, the Lady Bears lost momentum in the second set with both serve receive and hitting errors. The trend of errors throughout the second set allowed the Skyhawks to take the set over the Bears by a score of 25-15.

Thanks to an amazing home court advantage created by the Truett-McConnell fans and the White County High School Drum Line, the Lady Bears came out in the third set with a new found swagger and confidence. Multiple service runs from the Lady Bears in the third set allowed them to win the set 25-10. With the overall lead and momentum, the Lady Bears powered past the Skyhawks in the final set by a score of 28-26 en route to securing the overall victory.

Offensively, Hannah Simpson led the team with 12 kills. In addition, Katie Russell also had an impressive offensive showing with 7 kills of her own on the night. Alex Brake and Rebekah Reems contributed for a combined 31 assists on the night.
