TMC Lady Bears Soccer is Back
CLEVELAND, Ga. (TMCSports) – Soccer season is here and the Truett-McConnell College Lady Bears are excited about getting the season started.
The women's soccer program is targeting the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) title this year and Head Coach
David McDowell notes that while this goal is attainable, it will take a huge effort to reach: "I am very excited about the group of girls we have this year," McDowell said. "We have a great core of returners as well as an exciting set of freshmen coming in that will help take us to the next level. We do want to win the AAC this year but it will take a huge commitment and sacrifice from each girl every day to make this happen."
The Lady Bears kicked off the season last weekend in tournament play, tying Cornerstone University (1-1) and losing to Campbellsville University (2-1). In the tournament, the
Lady Bears went (0-1-1) with hard fought battles in each game. Returning from a year out with an injury,
Maddy Clark scored both of the Lady Bears goals in these weekend games.
The Lady Bears play away against Bob Jones University Thursday, August 28, kick off is at 7 p.m.
