Wrestling Bears Walk Away With First Win of the Season
Spartanburg, SC - The Truett-McConnell wrestling team defeated Spartanburg Methodist 27-8 this past Thursday, November 6th. This is their first win of the 2014-2015 season.

Other members of the wrestling team faced tough opposition. Caleb King lost an exciting overtime match 12-10 against nationally ranked opponent Ian Clevendger. Nick Distasio lost a tough fought match to nationally ranked opponent Deandre Johnson. Patrick Wasp lost a tough match 3-0 to opponent Jacob Leighton.
With this win, the Bears wrestling team is 1-0 overall. They travel to the University of the Cumberlands for The Patriot Open on Saturday, November 8th.
