Bears Soccer shuts out the CIU Rams

CLEVELAND, Ga. (TMSports) – The Truett-McConnell College Men's soccer team shutout the Columbia International University Rams, 3-0, in the Bears last regular season game, October 29.

Senior, Gavin Duff, started the hype with a single goal during the first half. TMC goalkeeper, Craig Stephenson, played a great defensive game, tallying three goalie saves, securing the Bears 1-0 lead as they entered into the second half.

Penzi Kakoma and Rudy Vasquez both scored goals in the second half while Stephenson prevented the Rams from scoring twice with two saves.

"This was probably our best game as a collective group all season," head coach Damien Westfield told TMSports. "The boys played outstanding from start to finish and it was a great win to end our regular season."

The Bears will move on to conference play the first week of November. For more info, see tmcbears.com.
